Know the Lord's report
Bring truth to bear on the facts
We have overcome
The world is constantly bombarding us with their report. Up-to-the-minute "news" (and I use the term loosely) is available with practically no effort on my part. Headlines and pictures pop up or scroll past every time you turn around. Newspapers at the gas station, CNN at the gym, Hollywood news on my web-browser! A part of me is curious, so I take the bait and wind up reading about a million dollar fender bender in Monte Carlo. That does nothing to help me. It just voids the five minutes it took me to read it.
Wouldn't it be great if the Lord's report came on every time I turned on my PC or television...
if every time I took a road trip I saw billboards lining the highway with God's good news...This just in! Psalm 35:27...God delights in the prosperity of His children! Husband and wife debt free after turning over their finances to God! Find out more tonight at 5!
a twitter feed of the Lord's report...God's favor goes before you and surrounds you as a shield! His angels guard and protect you! Be blessed! - Psalm 5:12, Psalm 84:11, Psalm 91
Mark 16:15-18...Holy Spirit moves in UK. Thousands saved in one day!
That would be heaven, but while we walk on this earth as ambassadors of heaven, we must make an effort to know the Lord's report. We sing a worship song: We will believe the report of the Lord no matter what the world says. The key to believing the Lord's report is knowing it. That requires personal, purposeful action on my part. For every troubling report I hear, I should have a word-report spring up on the inside of me that brings peace and truth to bear on that situation!
We have to dig into the word to find out what God's says about us. Our who, what, when, where, why, and how is found in the word, not the world. Beat down fear, exhaustion and lies with the peace and truth of God's word that sustains and brings life!
PRACTICE. Deuteronomy 8:18, Psalm 68:35, Isaiah 42:5-9
