Heart believes, mouth speaks
results follow confession
speak the word of faith
-Romans 10:8-10

According to Romans 10:8, Paul preached the word of faith. Some folks don't like that phrase, but I wonder -- if  you're not preaching the word of faith, what word are you preaching? The word of doubt? The word of fear? Stick with the Scriptures. When you saturate in God's word you come away with more faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word. (Rom 10:17)

Don't underestimate the power of your words. Proverbs 18:21 says:"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." What sort of table are you setting for yourself with your words? Are you speaking things you want to "eat" or are you speaking things that you would rather not have?

Here's a snippet from one of my favorite children's books by Norton Juster about words:
"Time for speeches, "announced the king.... "You first," he commanded, pointing to Milo.
"Your Majesty, ladies and gentlemen," started Milo timidly, "I would like to take this opportunity to say that in all the --"
"That's quite enough," snapped the king. "Mustn't talk all day.... NEXT!"
"Roast turkey, mashed potatoes, vanilla ice cream," recited the Humbug, bouncing up and down quickly.
"Hamburgers, corn on the cob, chocolate pudding..."
And so on down the line it went.... The waiters reappeared immediately, carrying heavy, hot trays, which they set on the table. Each one contained the exact words spoken by the various guests....
"Dig in," said the king, poking Milo with his elbow and looking disapprovingly at his plate. "I can't say that I think much of your choice."
"I didn't know that I was going to have to eat my words," objected Milo.
"Of course, of course, everyone here does," the king grunted. "You should have made a tastier speech."
How tasty has your speech been lately? If you don't like what's currently on your plate, don't keep saying the same thing you see. Start saying what God's word says is true about you.

You are the righteousness of God in Christ. All the provision of the New Covenant belongs to you. Wisdom, direction, purpose - God has those in abundance for YOU. Healing, life, and strength - those belong to YOU. Abundance belongs to you, not lack.

If it comes from heaven, it belongs to you when you are in Christ. If it doesn't come from heaven, don't accept it!

There is no sickness in heaven. Sickness doesn't belong to you.
Don't SAY that it does.
Say 1 Peter 2:24 instead.

There is no lack in heaven. Not having enough doesn't belong to you.
Don't SAY that it does.
Say Malachi 3:10 instead.

There is no bitterness in heaven. Unforgiveness doesn't belong to you.
Don't SAY that it does.
Say Mark 11:25 instead.

There is no fear in heaven. Fear doesn't belong to you.
 Don't SAY that it does.
Say 1 John 4:18 instead.

God loves you. Believe it! Expect good things from Him, and tell people about it. James 1:17-18

But what does it say? "The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" - that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
-Romans 10:8-10
